The various governing boards of the PAC 12 schools need to start by firing Scott for cause, taking action to reclaim his accelerated bonus, explore other possible alternatives for recovering other payments and initiate a comprehensive review of their individual school administrators who may bear responsibility as well. The schools should establish a governing board made up of their brightest business, legal and functional industry executive alums to examine ALL aspects of the conference athletic and network operations with the goal of coming up with a plan of alternatives for a reconstituted operations framework.

They may not survive this in their current grouping and it is not outside the realm of possibility some schools may explore their options elsewhere, if not already having done so. The PAC 12 is in a world of trouble and that is before considering the added complication failing state university systems and state governments underpinning individual institutions add to the mix.
